Dark Waters Distillery is a family-founded craft distillery in Groton, CT, born from generations of Italian artisans who crossed the Atlantic in search of a better life. From Prohibition-era grappa made by Angelo DiMartino in New York to fall grape harvests in the Hudson Valley, the art of distillation was passed down through the family—fanned into a passion when the founder, Vincent Antonelli, received his first still as a Christmas gift. After earning a BS in Biology and a DDS in Dentistry, he married scientific precision with Old-World traditions to launch Dark Waters Distillery.

Today, Dark Waters blends copper-rich, multi-plate column techniques with modern stainless-steel and clean-in-place systems to produce small-batch gins, whiskies, and fruit brandies. Their tasting bar invites you to explore award-winning spirits and learn firsthand how heritage, science, and craftsmanship come together—just in time for your next three-day Hands-on Workshop.
